i'm a male submissive deeply concerned about abrupt¹ climate change. i have a very small carbon footprint. i walk most places. i take public ground and underground transportation. The last time i went to Houston, i took the bus, all 54+ hours². That was two Christmases ago. i'm lousy with carbon goodness. Being poor helps.

Dominatrices³ on the other hand, often fly to stuff. Some really enjoy their chosen careers. For them it's part pleasure. But, it's a lot about their livelihood.

Of the carbon dioxide in the atmosphere - 390ppm - most of it above the pre-industrial baseline of 200 ppm, is due to the U.S. economy i.e. us. Transportation is 25% of our carbon emission. On a per mile basis, air travel is the worst. Advances in jet engine technology are not going to make much improvement. We, as a people, should fly less. Air travel should be reserved for socially necessary travel. The corporate CEO's all claim that they are so socially necessary that they should have private jets. Worse than scheduled airlines! What a load of E. Coli. They've done nothing but keep us in a constant state of war for resources, mucked up the environment, destroyed subsistence [i.e. sustainable] economies around the world, and now they want to drown the nations of the world close to sea level.

Dominatrices, on the other hand, perform a vital service to the submissive community. Dominant Women are quite rare. Submissive males are a dime a dozen - adjusting for inflation, probably less. Non professional Dominant Women , by and large, take into servitude very few submissives/slaves. Without Dominatrices, most of us would get no BDSM play at all! Oh! The humanity!

Within this dismal demographic, however, lies the seeds of climate crisis solution. Since there are many submissives for each Dominatrix, we can collectively make the community carbon neutral. We must each live a life of carbon emission chastity so that a cherished Dominatrix can spew Her greenhouse gas around with gay abandon. i say it's OK for our sublime Dominatrices to fly to stuff, if and only if, we adoring submissives do our part. Submissives of the world unite! Curb your carbon emissions! Mininmize your carbon footprint! and give your carbon offsets to the Dominatrix of your choice!

Is this me, trying to top from the bottom? No! i say! We certainly cannot require our Dominatrices to accept or even acknowledge our offerings. But those Domintraces who do, can feel good about jetting to posh events, knowing that their devoted slaves/submissives back home are toiling to keep them from adding to climate chaos.

If you are a CEO, and i'm guessing that some our Dominatrices are served by CEO's, you have an opportunity and responsibility to do Your part. Don't schedule an appointment with Her when You happen to be flying into Her city on business. Teleconference the business and fly Her in to Your city when it's convenient for Her. Who's really in charge? Don't just give Her your frequent flyer miles, give Her Your carbon offsets too. And, of course, if She wants to amortize Her carbon emission over additional submissives, it's Your responsibility to accept that. You would have to if You saw Her in Her city anyway. Get real man.

So, i discovered that Mistress Alex had gone to Florida. i offered Her a year of my carbon offsets to cover. Now She's going to Vegas. But i shot my carbon emission wad on Florida! But lo! It is a new year:

¹The climate has changed as long as there's been one. That's not a problem. We're in crisis now, because humans, over the last 150 years, guided only by the invisible hand, have changed the climate more than the natural change of the previous 10,000 years.

Mistress Devon: Know anyone with a fetish for ugly feet?

She asked this on Twitter and She posted this on twitpic¹. It brings to mind a lot of questions. What does She mean?

Did She think about it or was it a flip remark?

Does She really think Her Feet are ugly? Do we need to send Her to a self-esteem counselor? [i'll bet She knows one.] For me, a pinky toe bigger than the next toe does not make a Foot ugly. There probably are intense foot fetishists who do. For me, it's a pretty foot with a big little toe. i'm not an intense foot fetishist. i am, as you might have guessed a Boot fetishist but not an intense one². Still when the Boots come off, my interest doesn't evaporate. And a big pinky toe just tells me that She wears pointy toed Boots a lot. She might be really good at ballkicking.

A Domme's Back Door: She's a Scrabble Whore

She brought it up on the latest edition of Masocast, [#20] "Reciprocal Energy Loop"¹. She hesitated for a moment, but decided to go ahead. "The way to get to me is, I'm a Scrabble whore. That's my back door." She is somewhat mysterious to those of us not in the NYC scene, but follow it through cyberspace and occasionally visit. Only a portion of Her face appears on the public part of Her website. Her gallery is password protected. When i talk to NYC submissives about Her, they just go into a silent reverie. She controls Her access. Well, She is a Dominant Woman.

But if you play Scrabble, nay if you're good at Scrabble, you have an entre. Unspeakable Axe¹ who hosts Masocast advised buying Parker Brothers stock. "You realize every submissive hearing this is out buying Scrabble." i don't know how many that is, and besides, like me they may have wanted to hear what else She, Ayla, and Mistress Sade² had to say. And i couldn't possibly leave to go buy Scrabble. i had to hear the kickass Dominant Woman who got me listening to Masocast in the first place, Mistress Alex.

Mistress Troy Orleans is not the only Dominant Woman who controls Her access. Those who don't, quickly discover that they must. The mundane world is not kind to them. And many submissives let their neediness overwhelm common sense. They end up being abusive, in varying degrees, to those they claim to revere. But Mistress Troy, with Her carefully crafted fortress, says, "Here's my back door!" Is She crazy? She's crazy like a fox.

She says She can tell if you're good. That's kind of what keeping score is about. i wouldn't try to deceive Her, if i were you. She's way too smart to take you to Her dungeon and whip you for being a weasel. She'll just ignore you for the rest of your lonely miserable submissive life. Her back door is not a free passage where She abandons control. It is more like a gauntlet where She controls every challenge. But, She says, "i look forward to someone beating me." [Axe nicely double entendered that.] i don't know what Her follow-on of that would be, but i suspect it's good - really, really good.

By the way, you don't have to go out and put more money in the hands of the corporate moguls at Parker Brothers. You don't need to come out of pocket to hang the website³ where She scrabble-hangs. Let Her tell You where that is. Listen to the podcast.

What's in a name?

i have struggled for a very long time trying to figure out just the right name for my scene blog. i'm still not sure, but for now this is it. i have another blog 'Desperately Seeking Submission'. Same idea, different choice of words. i also have one 'Grovel-At-Her-Boots'. i'm thinking i don't want to limit myself. Boots, Bootlicking, Bootworship, and such are a great entre to BDSM play for me, but if it never gets beyond that, i feel like the experience is flat. Maybe sometime in the future i will have to change my handle. i don't know.
